NEWOLUTION connects generation, storage, heat sources, controllable loads and grid requirements in a single supervisory control platform.
The NEWOLUTION EMS sits above the existing manufacturer systems. The OEM BMS, the PCS protection logic and the storage manufacturer's safety-critical functions remain unchanged and in the manufacturer's responsibility.
NEWOLUTION provides the supervisory control logic, the asset integration, the visualisation and the application-specific optimisation. We do not buy or import battery storage systems, and we are not a system builder.
Typical project sizes start at around 200 kWh of battery storage. The focus is on roughly 1 MWh and above, up to multi-MW and multi-MWh projects.
Heterogeneous assets are connected, optimised together and operated from one interface.

The following characteristics have been demonstrated in practice at one specific reference site. They are deliberately presented separately from functions still under development.
Around 1.7 MW of installed charging capacity is controlled through a grid connection of only 100 kW. The ratio of 1:17 is a site-specific reference figure.
723 kWh of storage capacity at 1C allows up to 723 kW of charge or discharge power. The system can therefore balance load changes within a very short time.
Photovoltaics, battery storage, AC and DC charging, heat pumps and other controllable loads operate under one shared control logic.
Critical loads such as production equipment, heat sources or defined charging points can be prioritised – without uncontrolled grid-limit violations. The aim is continuous operation with prioritisation instead of hard shutdowns.
The NEWOLUTION core actively limits grid power to the available connection capacity and allocates the available power according to priority across charging points and further controllable loads.
Linux-based infrastructure with an integrated firewall and protection against attacks from outside as well as from within the internal network. Security is part of the architecture, not an add-on.
A dedicated web GUI makes energy flows, states and priorities comprehensible. The in-depth technical analysis covers frequency, states of charge, operating states and traceable logging.
Operational management and monitoring run on our own infrastructure. Supervisory operation is therefore independent of hardware manufacturers’ remote access at the control layer.
Real operating data at the reference site shows grid draw and feed-in between −14 kW and +86 kW while several DC charging points were charging in parallel.
The architecture is designed for the current site and is conceptually transferable to further sites and larger system landscapes, subject to project-specific assessment.

Automatic response to spot market prices and commercial optimisation of charging and discharging times.
During phases of negative exchange prices, solar power should preferably be stored rather than simply curtailed. The concrete implementation depends on the project and the marketing setup.
Under development: trading and electricity market integration. Trading is expressly not a currently available product and is not offered as a function deliverable today.
Communication principle. Available functions, project-specific options and roadmap items are clearly separated from one another in quotations and on this website.
Short, defensible answers to the points that regularly come up during technical qualification.
The solution is regulatorily flexible and can be integrated cost-efficiently. Where certified control components are required, the EMS logic is combined with the respective mandated components. The concrete arrangement is made per project and in coordination with the responsible grid operator.
No. The OEM BMS and all safety-critical manufacturer functions remain unchanged and in the manufacturer's responsibility. NEWOLUTION provides only the supervisory control, integration and visualisation layer above them.
The architecture is designed to be vendor-agnostic. We deliberately do not claim universal compatibility with every manufacturer. What matters is interface access: which data is available locally, which setpoints may be written, and how the component behaves if communication fails. We assess this per project and per device during technical qualification.
The statement refers precisely to the supervisory control layer: operational management and monitoring run on our own infrastructure and are therefore independent of hardware manufacturers' remote access at that layer. Full independence at the hardware level is expressly not claimed.
No. Trading and electricity market integration are under development and are not a currently available product. We position the topic as prepared future capability and a joint development subject, not as a standard function deliverable today. No revenues from trading activities are promised.
Control runs locally on a controller at the site. Data retention, monitoring and mobile access are handled through a connected platform. Local operation therefore remains functional even if the outbound connection is disrupted.
Technical qualification for storage systems, PCS, meters and further energy components.
The aim is a defensible qualification rather than a non-binding “might work” integration. The programme is being built up – no manufacturers are currently listed as qualified or confirmed partners.
